SMATV system has satellite dishes and TV antennas to receive programming from satellite providers and local broadcast networks. These antennas feed into several racks of electronic equipment which tunes in the channels you choose for your cable lineup, and combines them into a single cable signal. You can choose which programming you want, taking advantages of special corporate broadcasts, distance learning programming, sporting events and foreign language programming. This type is ideal for hotels where it is not practical to install individual satellites receivers in each room.
